Where does the wood come from?

All of our pine and oak are from sustainable sources and comply with fair trade ethics we only use solid timber and the finish is wax and oil and occasionally painted.

I have an awkward sized bedroom; can you make me a special size?

Yes we can, we specialise in being able to make items to order as we use mostly small but up to date non mass produced British manufacturers who can make items to your measurements in Pine and Oak.

How do I measure?

Firstly, make sure the item will fit your house and be able to go through the door-frames.

In the case of wardrobes, they usually can be made to disassemble and then we rebuild them for you (no charge) we need the height / length/ depth in MM or inches and we can give you a quote from there.

Please note the accuracy of the measurements are your responsibility.

What colours can I have?

We wax with an antique style wax (mid brown). The oil, usually Tung oil, is usually transparent but when applied to Oak gives a rich mellow brown colour.

Painted furniture is usually in Ivory or old white but other colours can be obtained especially for you.

What kind of handles can I have?

The most popular handles are the traditional wooden knobs but we can use metal handles or if you prefer to buy your own we can fit them for you free of charge.

How do I care for my furniture?

Waxed pine - day to day damp cloth/mats on tables to prevent heat marks. Every 3-6 months apply a little beeswax and buff off residue.

Oiled oak - very little maintenance, dust as usual (not with sprays) and oil every 6 months.

I live in a first floor flat - can you deliver to me?

No problem, we mostly use our own drivers and we are happy to install and unwrap for you at no extra cost. To save costs and represent good value our driver may be unaccompanied and will need assistance into your property.

Unfortunately the drivers are not able to take away your existing furniture; perhaps a charity near you would really appreciate it and they sometimes collect.

Khiam Interiors will store your data securely and it will not be handed on to any third parties.

Do I pay in full when ordering?

No.

Online Orders
When you place your order with us we will process your payment but only charge a 50% deposit to secure the order The other 50% will only be charged when your order is ready to be delivered.

Offline Orders
When you place your order with us we will contact you and ask for a 50% deposit to secure the order the other 50% will only be payable as your order is ready to be delivered.
